New phrase

"Don't fall me down" / "You fell me down" = don't let me fall, don't knock me down, don't push me (Kaleb)

We had to flush one...

Dump Truck Con died, so did a few of the ghost shrimp but the tank seems balanced and clear so we'll live with the loss :)

Zachary is loving PreK. He's learning his letters and numbers and is doing very good with it all. Kaleb is liking the alone time we get every morning and really likes when I let him sleep in since daddy decided to start going in to work at 9 instead of 8. He loves our target trips because I buy a soft pretzel for us to share if we have time before picking up Zachary.

The boys are at Grandma and Grandpa chicken's this weekend so Jerry and I can enjoy some alone time, or sleep, I'm betting sleep :)

We're still debating on putting in for the transfer to San Berdarnio. It would be a good move for a lot of reasons but we need to know what the pay would be before we make the decision.

Our Fish

So we let the boys buy a fish tank and fish with their piggy bank money. They love their fish!

Since this picture we have added more fish and put a "Nemo" background on it (it's not Nemo but the boys think it is so we'll just go with it).

Zachary even named every fish plus the plecostomus and ghost shrimp and their names are:
Pink Glo Fish - Ginger
Green Glo Fish - Kyler
Orange Glo Fish - Wayer
Zebra Fish - Dump Truck Con
Neon 1 - Pierton
Neon 2 - Turtle
Ghost Shrimp 1 - Sea Star
Ghost Shrimp 2 - Shrimpy (this one was with daddy's help)
Guppy 1 - Fred
Guppy 2 - George
Plecostomus - Monster
Albino Catfish 1 - Mrs Hoffmeir
Albino Catfish 2 - Mrs Rakett.

We've had a full tank for about a week and got our first fish about 3 weeks ago, no deaths to report so far!

1st Day of School

Zachary started pre Kindergarten on the 20th and everything went great! Only 16 more 1st day of school drop-offs left (Kaleb graduates in 16 years). Zachary loves his teacher, Mrs. Rakett and asks everyday when he wakes up if he gets to go to school today. He's already talking about when he turns 5 and gets to go to all day kindergarten.

This picture is Open House when Zachary got to meet his teacher and new friends. He is standing in front of his box in his classroom.

SAHM

So this is week 1 of staying home with the boys. So far we made jello jigglers (which Zachary calls jelly beans), we cleaned the boys room and most of the house. The boys have napped both days so far, Monday they didn't fall asleep til nearly 4pm and Tuesday they fell asleep around 1pm, so we're making progress.
It is a lot harder to keep up with activity with Primerica while staying home but once Zachary starts school on the 20th I am sure it will be easier. If not, I'm not concerned with it taking another year to really build up momentum.
Jerry put in for a transfer, I think he put in for Seattle and Chicago another one that might open is Amarillo. I'm torn on what I 'want'. I'm so ready to leave Oklahoma but staying here means free preK and all day kindergarten, which would be nice. Moving to Amarillo means lower cost of living, 4 hours closer to California and Colorado and only about a 5 hour drive to Albuquerque (we like to take weekend trips there). Chicago still appeals to me but the cost of living is a lot more and Seattle is just different, I've never been there, it could be nice. In any event we'll only be staying where ever we move for as short a time as possible - mostly waiting for a position to open in Colorado, I don't see us living in Amarillo, Seattle or Chicago for more than 5 years.

Pre-K

I checked at the school and Zachary is enrolled in morning pre-kindergarten in Miss Tilley's class :) He'll start next month and I can't believe it. Zachary is excited and points out his new school everyday when we go to daycare (it's across the street from the daycare), he calls it 'kindergard'. I'm still trying to decide if I'll take him for his first day or not. I may take him and pick him up his first day.

Diaper Free?

Kaleb has been staying dry at daycare for a couple weeks now. He's had 2 accidents in the last 3 weeks. We took him out last Sunday in underwear and even though he couldn't reach the the potty since he stands when he pees and refuses to sit he held it for a couple hours until Jerry took him behind a tree and let him pee there. He's been dry at night for a few weeks also, we have been putting him in a pull up at night just in case and since he's been dry we just use it again the next night, he's been doing so well the pull up is falling apart, we may try no diaper tonight. Then last night he said he needed to go potty before going to bed then said he needed to poop so we sat him on his Elmo potty ring. He sat there for a few minutes and I figured he was stalling since he's never pooped in the potty. I told him it was time to get up and tried to pick him up. He put his hands out to stop me and said "No! I poopin", then he pooped so I told him he was doing so good and tried to pick him up again and he stopped me again and said "No! I not done, I poopin." So he finished up and we all clapped and he flushed the toilet and said "bye-bye" to his poops. So since he's been dry for the better part of 3 weeks and now poops in the potty I think we're done contributing to the diaper industry for good :) Our only issue is that if he's playing he wont' stop to go potty and will wet himself, then he'll come ask for new underwear but since he is so young (2 years 3 months) we adults just need to take the responsibility for that part and make sure he goes to the potty every hour or so.
